03 / The composition

Why these origins meet

CARAVAN №01 brings Brazil Minas, Colombia and India into one composition, with milk chocolate, hazelnut, red fruit and cocoa as its sensory direction. The work is in the relationship between those notes: depth that leaves room for fruit, and a familiar cup with its own character.

The recipe remains part of the Aroma Lab working archive.

Brazil Minas

An origin in the CARAVAN composition. Chocolate and hazelnut form part of the blend’s intended sensory direction.

Colombia

An origin in the CARAVAN composition. Red-fruit character forms part of the blend’s intended sensory direction.

India

An origin in the CARAVAN composition. Cocoa and depth form part of the blend’s intended sensory direction.

These are composition-level sensory intentions, not verified tasting claims for individual lots. Producer, variety, processing, altitude and crop details are published only when confirmed.

05 / Preparation

The Sarajevo Ritual

Choose the vessel. Give the cup your attention. CARAVAN is being developed for espresso and the copper džezva — two preparations with distinct rhythms.

Copper džezva

Serve in a small cup or fildžan. Allow a moment before tasting, then follow the changing aroma as the cup cools.

Espresso

Calibrate the grind for your machine and the coffee in front of you. Taste for balance; adjust the preparation to the confirmed roast and batch.

A validated brew guide will accompany a released batch. Grinder settings are preparation-specific.

06 / Aroma Lab interventions

Beyond the cup

Coffee becomes a starting point for botanical exploration. These editions are experiments in aroma, still in development.

Aroma Lab Edition

COFFEE PARFUME · BASIL

An exploration of green, floral and botanical aroma alongside coffee. The intention is interaction, rather than masking the cup.

CARAVAN №01 × Cherry Spritz

A contrasting second glass: a lighter cherry-led expression beside the depth of coffee. A future Aroma Lab pairing study.

09 / A Sarajevo perspective

Coffee travelled before it became a ritual.

In Sarajevo, coffee can give a conversation its own pace. The cup is part of a setting: a table, a guest, a pause. CARAVAN takes that ritual as a creative starting point. Its name evokes movement and encounters; its stated origins are Brazil Minas, Colombia and India. At Aroma Lab Sarajevo, the aim is to bring those origins into a recognisable composition — one that feels at home in an espresso cup and beside a copper džezva.

This is the idea behind Coffee Compositions: to develop origin, roast, sensory character and preparation as a connected practice. CARAVAN №01 is the first Core expression of that work, currently in development.
